A miffed motorist has resorted to creating their own sign at a 'confusing' roundabout. Hull Live reports that drivers are now taking it into their own hands to tell others the lane rules.
The publication added that ever since rework in the area, the introduction of a third lane at Stoneferry Roundabout in Hull has caused hysteria amongst motorists. The third lane is part of the multi-million-pound scheme, which also saw over 20 traffic lights installed to aid congestion.
However, one fed-up driver has had enough of chaos on the roundabout and has taken matters into his own hands by creating a sign of their own. The sign, on the A1033, shows the three-lane layout as drivers approach the roundabout, along with the message 'exit in own lane'.
Last year, a petition was launched to address the issues of the junction following the number of near misses. The makeshift sign is reportedly not the first instance of motorists having to announce how to approach the roundabout.
Many people took to social media to share their experience on the dreaded roundabout. One social media user believes that there are issues with the roundabout, but not with the new lane system.

They said: "It's really not that hard to understand at all. I understood it from day one.
"My only gripe is that it feels unnatural to drive around as it feels like it sweeps right out away from the natural direction the car wants to travel and become narrow at points so it just feels awkward but the lane marking are as clear as day, just shows how many people drive obliviously without a care in the world and take no notice.
"I also don't see the benefit or traffic lights at the other roundabout, maybe they help at rush hour but do we really need them running 24/7? Why can't they just operate when its busy like the Hessle road one under the flyover, then revert back to a standard roundabout when not."
Another person, who claims to have decades of driving experience, admits they find the junction baffling. They stated: "I have been driving 40 years all over the world and have to agree it’s pathetic the roundabout is very very confusing and dangerous."
However, other people sympathised with Hull City Council over the roundabout and blamed the drivers for the issue. One person said: "Car drivers: 'Can we have more road space please' Hull CC: 'Here you go - more lanes' Car drivers: 'Take them away! I don't understand them!'"
Another added: "It's crazy how drivers get freaked out by three-lane roundabouts, the Kingswood one is a prime example, it's crazy how many drivers don't know which lane to be in when it's three lanes."
