Midtjylland play Celtic Champions League mind games as they hint at new look formation

Confident Midtjylland boss reckons their build-up for their showdown against Celtic has gone perfectly.

The for the first leg of the Champions League second qualifying round against the Parkhead side who face an injury wait on Odsonne Edouard.

But while Ange Postecoglou is scrambling about desperately trying to add players to his depleted squad ahead of the two legs, he believes his side couldn't be in better shape.

They ended their pre-season build-up by beating Czechs Sigma Olomouc in their Polish training camp and start their Danish Superliga season against Odense on Friday.

And Henriksen is delighted at their preparations.

He said: "We have got so much out of this trip to Poland. We spoke a lot about the season ahead both domestically and in Europe and we have prepared very hard for it.

"For example, we usually play in a 4-2-3-1, but I used a 3-4-3 formation against Sigma because I wanted to see if we could be flexible, which we were.

"We need to be dynamic and we need to attack teams and now we have more systems we can use.

"We have to get ready for Friday and the Champions League game against Celtic. We must continue to improve and we will continue to work on the tactical side of the game.

"Once we are home, we will get together again and prepare for the season opener. We are really looking forward to this new season with confidence."
