Police are investigating after a Midlothian delivery driver was accused of stealing a woman's purse while handing over their takeaway food.
A furious man took to social media to share footage, which he claimed, showed the delivery driver taking his wife's purse - which appears to have accidentally been left on top of their garden shed.
The video, captured on a Ring security camera at the man's door, is said to show the driver standing at the door while delivering their takeaway before slipping the purse in his pocket.
Just seconds later the customer comes to the door and the driver hands over their takeaway food before getting back in his car.
Appealing for anyone who may know the man to come forward, the customer revealed it was his wife's purse and had bank cards in it, as well as expensive passes for the likes of East Links Family Park.
It's understood the incident took place over the weekend and the customer contacted the takeaway involved, as well as police.
The force confirmed that officers are looking into the theft of a purse from an address in Mayburn Walk, Loanhead.
