Midlothian business trashed by 'scumbags' wielding axe in overnight raid

A Midlothian business has appealed for information after being trashed by "moron" vandals.

Staff at local Podiatrist and Chiropodist, Feet & Co, arrived at work to find the glass door smashed.

Protective screens installed to help protect staff following the coronavirus outbreak had also been damaged, while bright red spray paint was left on the walls.

The Loanhead business caught the vandals, whose faces were covered, on CCTV as they carried out the hit in the early hours of Monday morning.

A statement on the business' Facebook page read: "HELP! In the early hours of this morning the clinic was broken into between 4.30-5am.

"Police have been great but if you think you can help could you let me know please."

Locals and customers have been left outraged by the news.

"People work so hard and these utter scumbags just think they can help themselves", blasted one.

Another said: "That’s horrendous, so sorry to see this pointless crime, hope they are caught and dealt with severely."
