Midlands recruitment firm Ethero secures new offices in Derby's Cathedral Quarter

A Midlands recruitment firm has opened its latest office in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter from which it aims to supply skilled workers to the city’s manufacturers.

Ethero, which is headquartered in Telford, in Shropshire, has taken a lease on premises in College Place, off Full Street.

Founded in 2010, the firm works in partnership with companies across the UK, placing candidates in temporary and permanent roles across a range of sectors.

Gareth Hughes, managing director of Ethero, said: “The opening of our new Derby office sees Ethero’s footprint increase to five locations across the Midlands, which is really exciting.

“We selected Derby due to its high quality manufacturing and production history, as these are the sectors we have been most successful in supporting over the last 10 years.

“The challenges of recruiting and maintaining great workforces gets tougher every year and we are here to assist the employers of Derby with innovative, effective and simple recruitment solutions.”

Michael Green, a surveyor at David Brown Commercial, secured the deal on behalf his client Morgan Industrial Properties.

He said: “The premises are within the Cathedral Quarter and in close proximity to Cathedral Green. With amenities close by, Ethero will be able to attract staff and clients alike to their new offices.

“The property also benefits from dedicated city centre car parking and is well-appointed to a modern specification, while retaining original features.

“It is in a prominent, roadside location, enabling Ethero to let their clients know that they have landed in the Derby market.”

David Powell, commercial property manager at Morgan Industrial Properties, said: “We’re delighted that Ethero has chosen College Place as its first office in Derby, which means the development has achieved full occupancy.

“We look forward to working with them in ensuring the property allows their business to succeed.”
