Middlesbrough striker Rumarn Burrell joins Kilmarnock on loan

Kilmarnock have landed a striker before the Ayrshire Derby on Monday.

Rumarn Burrell has joined on loan from English side Middlesbrough and links up with the squad ahead of the Ayr United game.

A club statement said: "Rumarn Burrell has joined Killie after signing a season-long loan deal from Middlesbrough, subject to international clearance.

"The 20-year-old forward will add to Tommy Wright’s attacking options after arriving in Ayrshire this week ahead of the start of our cinch Championship campaign.

"Rumarn made his ‘Boro debut in January this year before moving to Bradford City for the remainder of the 2020/21 season."

Killie boss Wright said: “He’s a young striker and Paul Stephenson brought him to my attention. We’ve watched him and had good reports about him.

“He’s quick, strong and decent in front of goal and will stretch teams as well and he should be fine to be added to the squad for Monday’s game.”
