Middlesbrough have been charged by the Football Association after Neil Warnock's furious outburst about the officials following Boro's 2-1 defeat at Swansea City.
The Yorkshireman was left incensed by a number of calls made by referee Gavin Ward, the two assistant referees and the fourth official during the course of the Championship encounter at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
Warnock heavily criticised the officials when addressing the media after his side's loss to Steve Cooper's men.
"I'm just disappointed," he told Sky Sports after the match.
"I thought the lads put in a really good shift, we played some good football and were best side on the pitch. I didn't see them having many chances at all.
"We've been let down by poor officials, nothing else.
"Ten minutes gone, [Ryan] Manning took [Anfernee] Dijksteel out, not one of four officials saw it, and it's ended up with him coming off injured. He has deliberately kicked out at him and taken him down.
"[Marc] Bola is a certain goal or a penalty to us. It's a dive if anything from their lad. He gets the ball, [Yannick] Bolasie, it should be a penalty or a goal.
"How can I come on here now and not get fined? I've got to be careful, haven't I? It's the worst afternoon for many weeks and we have had a few of these recently.
"You saw the penalty the other night at Stoke, never a penalty in a million years and they won the game! So really, by that reckoning, they should get promotion if they keep getting the right referees."
On Thursday, it was confirmed that the governing body have charged the club with a breach of FA Rule E20.
"Middlesbrough FC has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 after its game against Swansea City AFC on Saturday [6/3/21] in the EFL Championship," an FA statement read.
"Middlesbrough FC allegedly failed to ensure that its players and/or club officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion after the final whistle and the club has until Monday [15/3/21] to provide a response."
