Mid Ulster Council pressing ahead with 20 dual language street sign requests

More than 20 dual language street sign requests will be proceeding to survey, members of Mid Ulster District Council’s environment committee have been told.

During the course of the committee’s September meeting, members were informed of 21 requests for dual language street signs that will proceed to survey across the borough.

The vast majority of the requests came from streets in Dungannon, with several also received from streets in Coalisland and Donaghmore.

The requests that have been verified and are proceeding to survey are as follows:

Castlecaulfield : Torrent Glen.

Coalisland : Annaghmore Meadows; Ardnaskee Drive and Derryvale Grove.

Donaghmore : Lismore Drive ; Main Street and Tullyaran Road.

Dungannon : Ballysaggart Park; Cloneen; Cullenramer Road; Foxborough; Killymaddy Hill; Kindrum; Lisnahull Terrace; Lisnahull Road; Springdale and Tullyleek Road

Moy : The Quays.

Omagh : Broughderg Road; Davagh Road and Keerin Road.

Members were informed that the occupiers signing the request were confirmed as residents of the streets listed on the electoral register.

It was also confirmed that the Electoral Office in Belfast is now open on a restricted basis which has allowed officers to gain the necessary information and enable the surveys to progress.
