
Microsoft is gearing up for another round of pricing adjustments for its online services. This time, the company is focusing on standardization across volume licensing programs. Starting November 1, 2025, the company will expand its consistent pricing model (already used for Azure) to include all online services purchased under Enterprise Agreements, the Microsoft Products and Services Agreement, and the Online Services Premium Agreement used in China.
According to the company, with this update, customers will see a single price for online services across all Price Levels A through D, aligned with the rates published on Microsoft.com.
With this move, the tech giant is planning to streamline purchasing and give customers clearer visibility into costs, reducing differences that often appeared in pricing based on agreement type or level. Microsoft says that the change will take effect at each customer’s next agreement renewal or when they purchase new online services that are not yet listed on their Customer Price Sheet after November 1.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that the update does not affect every part of Microsoft’s business. On-premises software pricing remains unchanged, and both U.S. Government and worldwide Education price lists are excluded from this update. Apart from that, for organizations that may be impacted, Microsoft is recommending conversations with account teams or licensing partners to review the changes and prepare ahead of any upcoming renewals or purchases.
