Microsoft restores hacked account after streamer claims 25 years of data was deleted

A streamer named Joshua Khane has regained access to his Microsoft account after claiming that the company permanently deleted it following a hack. Khane said he lost years of important data, including thousands of dollars worth of digital purchases, personal files, and pictures of his son as a baby. After his complaint gained attention on social media, Microsoft contacted him and helped restore his account. Although Khane was happy to get his data back, he questioned why it took a viral post for the issue to be solved.

Microsoft brings back streamer’s hacked account after viral complaint over lost data

Joshua Khane first shared his problem on X, saying that his Microsoft account and OneDrive storage had been deleted after hackers gained access to it. He claimed that Microsoft had already confirmed he was the real owner of the account and that it had been compromised.
