Microsoft could launch new Xbox One console TOMORROW - here's what to expect

It’s been rumoured for months, and now Microsoft could finally be preparing to launch a new Xbox One console.

Reports suggest that Microsoft will reveal the new console, called the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, tomorrow.

The new console looks similar to the Xbox One S but has no disc drive, meaning gamers won’t be able to play Xbox One game discs, DVDs, or Blu-Rays on the console.

Instead, the console will only run digital games - hence the ‘All-Digital’ title.

Microsoft could launch disc-less Xbox One S console in May, rumours suggest

Ahead of the big reveal, WinFuture has posted photos and details of the alleged console.

The report indicates that the console will ship with a 1TB hard drive, support for 4K UHD video playback, and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

In terms of price, rumours suggest the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will cost around £199 - considerably cheaper than the Xbox One S, which currently costs £249.99.

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft has remained tight-lipped on the new console, and it remains unclear whether the April 16 reveal date is correct, or the result of rumours.
