Microsoft Adds 2 New Copilot Features to Simplify Everyday Tasks

Microsoft has expanded the capabilities of Copilot by adding two new features to the platform. It includes the new Copilot Actions and Recipe Cards with Instacart. These features will help you book reservations and shop for ingredients. So, let’s take a closer look at Microsoft’s latest offerings.

Copilot Actions

This experimental feature allows the AI assistant to interact with popular websites using natural language prompts. For example, you can ask Copilot to book a hotel room on Hotels.com, reserve a dinner table on OpenTable, or order flowers via 1-800-Flowers

However, the interesting part is that despite AI managing the whole process, the control will still be in your hands. This feature will allow you to pause, stop, or edit the process as needed. The Copilot Actions is currently available in Copilot Labs for U.S.-based Copilot Pro users.

Recipe Cards with Instacart

Microsoft has also introduced Recipe Cards with Instacart integration. This means that while browsing recipes with Copilot, you can now directly buy ingredients through Instacart. The best part of this feature is that it works across platforms, including iOS, Android, Mac, and web, and does not require a login.

When it comes to the availability part, the  Instacart Buy option is currently only available in the U.S. However, there are plans to extend its support to Canada in the near future.

Along with the new features, the company has also improved its cross-platform support for Copilot. It now allows you to access these tools more easily across desktop and mobile devices.

That’s a wrap for this release! But it follows a steady stream of updates. In its previous Copilot release, Microsoft introduced smarter image generation, interactive quiz cards, and more. The pace of these updates hints that the company is quietly working to turn Copilot into a hands-on digital assistant for everyday use and not just a search companion.
