Children's writer Sudha Murty's second book in the Gopi Diaries series, titled 'The Gopi Diaries: Finding Love', released earlier this year. In the book Gopi, a pet dog, tells heart-warming stories from his day to day life in the Murty household.
The Gopi Diaries is a set of three books-- book one 'Coming Home' was all about how a young Gopi is adopted as a new member of the family, book two takes the story ahead after a year, while book three will be out soon. The story is narrated from Gopi's point of view which makes it all the more adorable. In 'Finding Love', Gopi has now grown up from a young pup to an adult dog. He narrates how he loves spending time with his favourite humans, the mischiefs he does, and how content his life is.
Gopi's tales are inspired by Sudha Murty's pet dog named Gopi. It is noted that some of the characters in the stories are based on real-life people, including the author and her husband, Infosys Chairman N.R. Narayana Murthy, which makes these stories all the more familiar and relatable. The book is written in simple and concise language, which makes it perfect for young readers who have started reading on their own. The beautiful illustrations by Sandhya Prabhat makes the book an enjoyable read. This is an endearing tale of Gopi, the beloved pet dog.
