Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Disney World this year

ORLANDO, Fla. — Walt Disney World has announced dates, ticket prices and event details for the 2022 return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an after-hours event at Magic Kingdom. For the past two years, the theme park has hosted less extravagant Halloween festivities in reaction to the COVID pandemic.

This year, the Not-So-Scary schedule begins Aug. 12 and continues for 37 select nights through Oct. 31. Familiar activities are on tap, including the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” show on the caste stage, trick-or-treating across the park, seasonal overlays on Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Tea Party, Space Mountain and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor attractions, the Disney Junior Jam at Storybook Circus, costumed Disney characters, the headless horseman character ahead of “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade” plus “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular,” which includes fireworks, projections, music and special effects.

A 50th anniversary photo op and commemorative print will be available for party guests.

Tickets go on sale to the general public May 18, but guests at some Disney World hotels can purchase tickets starting May 12.

Ticket prices vary by date. The least expensive price is $109, available seven evenings in August and early September. It tops out at $199 on Oct. 31. (Tickets are $10 cheaper for guests between ages 3 and 9). Tickets can be purchased at disneyworld.com or by calling 407-939-4240.

The event dates are Aug. 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30; Sept. 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 30; and Oct. 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, although ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m. on event days.
