Mick Jagger reveals he aims to return to performing six weeks after treatment

Sir Mick Jagger has sworn to give fans satisfaction by bouncing back from his mystery illness in just six weeks.

The Rolling Stones had to postpone a US and Canada tour – due to start on April 20 in Miami – at the weekend after Mick’s scare.

Reports suggested the singer would be out of action for three months – but he has ordered his team to start rearranging the cancelled shows, thought to have had ticket sales of £200million.

Yesterday he was seen smiling and chatting on a hotel balcony in Miami Beach.

A source said: “Mick is one of the fittest 75-year-olds on the planet. Just look at him on stage.

“If anyone can pull it back, Mick can. He intends to be fighting fit and raring to go in six weeks.”

Bandmate Keith Richards, 75, said: “A big disappointment for everyone but things need to be taken care of and we will see you soon. Mick, we are always there for you.”

A statement from the Rolling Stones as they put their 17-date tour on hold said: “Unfortunately the Rolling Stones have had to announce the postponement of their US/Canada tour dates.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets but wish to reassure fans to hold on to these existing tickets, as they will be valid for rescheduled dates.
