Mick Jagger manages a smile as he's seen for first time since postponing tour

Mick Jagger has been spotted for the first time since he was forced to cancel a string of Rolling Stone's concerts due to illness.

Over the weekend the 75-year-old rocker expressed his heartbreak at having to postpone the band's upcoming tour.

The group had been due to take to the stage across the US and Canada, but Mick has had to pull out to concentrate on his health.

After making the announcement, the frontman was pictured recuperating at a beach in Miami with his girlfriend and their two-year-old son.

As the family enjoyed some downtime in Miami, Melanie Hamrick 32, ran around after their young son Deveraux, while Mick opted to take things easy.

The frontman was seen relaxing on the sand as he chatted to friends, while dressed in a loose-fitting tracksuit.

The family outing came a day after Mick broke the news to fans that he'd been advised by medical experts not to continue with his band's tour.

In a post on Twitter , Mick said he was 'devastated' to let people down and insisted he would be 'working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.'

His bandmate Keith Richards also chimed in to say it was a 'big disappointment for everyone.'

"But things need to be taken care of," he added, before tweeting, "Mick, we are always there for you!"

The band were due to kick off the US and Canada leg of their No Filter tour at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, on April 20, finishing at the Burl's Creek Even Grounds in Ontario, Canada, on June 29.

Reports suggested the singer would be out of action for three months – but he has ordered his team to start rearranging the cancelled shows, thought to have had ticket sales of £200million.

Yesterday, a source told the Mirror: "Mick is one of the fittest 75-year-olds on the planet. Just look at him on stage.

“If anyone can pull it back, Mick can. He intends to be fighting fit and raring to go in six weeks.”
