Sir Mick Jagger is expecting his eighth child at the age of 72.
The Rolling Stones frontman’s representatives confirmed his girlfriend the ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 29, was pregnant, according to the Press Association.
Sir Mick is already father to Karis, 45 from his relationship with Marsha Hunt, and Jade, 44, with ex-wife Bianca Jagger. He has four children with his former partner Jerry Hall: Lizzie, 32, James, 30, Georgia-May, 24, and Gabriel, 18, and has a 16-year-old son Lucas from his relationship with Luciana Gimenez.
Sir Mick, who turns 73 this month, also has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild after Jade’s daughter Assisi gave birth to a daughter in 2014.
Sir Mick’s announcement has come shortly after his Rolling Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood became a father again.
The 68-year-old and his wife Sally, 37, welcomed twin girls in May.
