Mick Jagger 'demands a new mattress at every hotel' on Rolling Stones tour

Mick Jagger has allegedly refused to sleep on the same mattress two nights in a row while he continues his tour with The Rolling Stones.

Bizarre reports have emerged claiming the 76-year-old rocker “demands a new mattress every night” in hotels he and his bandmates stay in.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the singer insists the plastic wrapping remain on the mattress while a member of hotel staff sleeps on it for one night to break it in.

An insider added: “Mick always asks for a new mattress in his room, no matter how posh the hotel.

“It’s an unusual request but, hey, he’s Mick Jagger. Does he need a new mattress every time? Why not?"

The dad-of-eight is back on tour with The Rolling Stones after the band were forced to postpone dates while Mick underwent heart surgery.

The US and Canadian tour was cancelled in March after doctors told the rocker he was not well enough to travel.

Fellow band members Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts issued a statement at the time explaining the situation, saying Mick would be back with them as soon as possible.

Mick returned to the tour just 11 weeks later, following heart valve surgery in New York in April.

The great-granddad fronted the Rolling Stones’ comeback in Chicago in June, restarting the band’s tour in style.
