Michy Batshuayi handed Chelsea warning amid Crystal Palace transfer links

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has been told that he may have to find a solution, if he continues to struggle for game time with the Blues.

Batshuayi has found his opportunities limited at Chelsea so far this season, with the Belgian making just six appearances for Frank Lampard's men in all competitions.

He has netted three goals in those six games, with Batshuayi scoring twice in the 7-1 win against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, before netting against Southampton last weekend after coming off the bench at St Mary's.

Batshuayi has also scored three goals for Belgium this season, with the 26-year-old scoring in the 2-0 win against Kazakhstan yesterday (Sunday), to add to two goals against San Marino last month.

Belgium have now qualified for the European Championships next summer, but Batshuayi's manager at international level, Roberto Martinez, has warned that the striker will need to be playing to be in his squad for the tournament.

“He doesn’t play enough at Chelsea. I think that’s a shame, even though he scores a lot with the national team,” Martinez told Belgian newspaper  Het Nieuwsblad .

“I hope he will play more, because we really need him… But then he has to play. Otherwise a solution must be found.”

Batshuayi, who is yet to start a league game for Chelsea this season, is battling with Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud for game time with the Blues, although Giroud has recently spoken about his frustration at his lack of minutes.

The Belgian striker has been linked with a move away in January, with Crystal Palace one of the potential suitors for the 26-year-old, following his successful loan spell last season, when he scored six goals in 13 games with the south London side.

The Daily Express reported last week that Palace were considering a fresh move for Batshuayi in January, although it has been reported that the Blues value him at around £22million.
