Michigan State Women’s Cross Country wins Big Ten Championship

The Big Ten hosted their Cross Country championships in Columbus, Ohio today and the #9 ranked Michigan State Women’s Cross Country team did not disappoint. They won the competition in a crowded field that included two other top-10 teams in #7 Wisconsin and #8 Michigan.

There were five other ranked teams also involved in #18 Penn State, #19 Illinois, #21 Ohio State, #23 Indiana, and #25 Minnesota.

Annie Fuller was Michigan State’s highest placed runner, coming in third with a time of 20:16.1 in the 6000m race. MSU’s top five runners placed in 3rd, 8th (Jeralyn Poe), 14th (India Johnson), 15th (Lynsie Gram) and 16th (Jenna Magness) giving them a total score of 56. Wisconsin came in second with 62 points and Michigan was third with 88.
