The oddsmakers may not be expecting an exciting game between Michigan State and Ohio State, but the fans sure as hell are.
Tickets for the highly-anticipated showdown at “The ‘Shoe” in Columbus, OH are currently outpacing tickets for playoff baseball and other marquee college football matchups.
According to data provided by Vivid Seats, the average cost of a ticket sold for the MSU vs. OSU game is currently $252, ahead of Game 2 of the ALDS between the Yankees and Twins ($228) as well as the Auburn vs. Florida game ($213).
It’s no surprise this game is selling well as it usually dictates the winner of the Big Ten. Since 2013 the winner of this game has gone on to win the conference five out six times. MSU won the game and conference in 2013 and 2015, while OSU won in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
The game kicks off Saturday at 7:30 PM on ABC.
