Michigan State will play host to Duke in the Big Ten/ACC challenge. The entire challenge schedule was announced on Twitter today.
MSU of course beat Duke 68-67 in the Elite Eight last season, upsetting everybody and their mothers who wanted to see Duke in that Final Four.
While Duke certainly has lost some talent, they’re still expected to be a top-five team to open next season and Michigan State has been a near-unanimous preseason #1.
Michigan State is 2-11 against Duke under Tom Izzo. This will be only the 2nd time Duke has been to East Lansing and the first time since 2003.
Michigan State is 8-11 overall in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and are coming off an OT loss on the road last year to Louisville.
The Big Ten last won the challenge in 2015. The two power conference tied last season 7-7.
