Michigan State to host Albion, Winston brothers in exhibition

Michigan State announced today that they will be hosting the Albion Britons in an exhibition game in East Lansing on October 29th. This is a very special matchup for a couple reasons:

  1. This will be the first meeting between Albion and Michigan State since 1945. The teams have met just 11 times during the regular season, with Michigan State winning all but one of the matchups. Albion beat MSU in 1927 37-31 (this was a different time, folks).
  2. Cassius Winston’s two brothers, Zach and Khy, both play for Albion so this will be an extra special meeting for the teams.

Albion coach Jody May had this to say about the matchup:

“This will be a memorable experience for the players, staff, and community of Albion College as well as the Winston family. The opportunity for Cassius, Zach, and Khy to be on the floor together will be an amazing occasion for their family. We appreciate the opportunity provided by Coach Izzo and Michigan State University.”
