In case you were still wondering which side of the ball Michigan State keeps most of its star power, I think the team itself just confirmed this by themselves. The team announced today that they would be sending three defensive standouts to the Big Ten Media Day at the Hilton hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Joe Bachie, Raequan Williams, and Kenny Willekes will be representing the team at the annual event.
This is the first time in coach Mark Dantonio’s thirteen seasons with the team that he will not be sending a mix of players from both sides of the ball. This will also be the first appearance by each of the three players.
This isn’t exactly a shock. Michigan State had one of the best defenses in the country last year while the offense was borderline embarrassing at times through the season.
Last year, Michigan State was represented by Brian Lewerke, LJ Scott, and Khari Willis.
