Michigan State’s Cassius Winston dealing with hamstring injury

The season hasn’t even started yet, but the unanimous Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year and Michigan State star point guard Cassius Winston is already dealing with a minor hamstring injury. Winston said he was injured during conditioning and indicated that it wasn’t a major concern, although he did miss a few days of practice last week.

“I feel a lot better,” Winston said. “I’m probably another couple days to get fully back. It was just a freak accident that kind of happened. It was nothing too severe, though. I was back the next week and kind of tweaked it. Just go in 100 percent. I don’t want anything nagging or anything like that. I’ve felt pretty good. I’ll be all right.”

Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press reported that Winston was already back to full practices when they started September 24th.
