Michigan State’s Aaron Henry co-signed Cris Carter’s defense of Tom Izzo berating him

15-seed Bradley put itself in position to stun No. 2 Michigan State on Thursday, but a key 7-0 run from the Spartans with less than five minutes to play kept their Final Four hopes alive.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo was criticized on social media during the game after erupting on freshman Aaron Henry following a huge Spartan run earlier in the game. Izzo had to be held back by Michigan State players while he was chewing out the forward.

When asked about the moment after the game, Izzo said he was simply holding Henry accountable.

Via ESPN:

“What’s wrong with challenging a kid that makes some mistakes? Aaron Henry — trust me — did some things that you can’t do as a starter on a top-5 team at the end of your freshman year. They were effort-related… I did get after him. He did respond.”

FS1’s Cris Carter argued Friday morning that Izzo has nothing to apologize for.

Henry endorsed Carter’s take on Twitter.
