Michigan State receives zero votes in AP Poll for second straight week

Not exactly a surprise, but still notable because it’s emblematic of where Michigan State is this season, Michigan State did not receive a single vote in the AP Poll for the second straight week due to their big loss to Wisconsin. Of course, that loss looks even less attractive after Wisconsin lost yesterday to Illinois.

MSU was still receiving votes in the AP Poll after their loss to Ohio State. They received 17 votes on the October 6th poll. I expect MSU to bounce back a little and end the season hopefully hovering around the AP and Coaches Poll top-25 rankings, but at this point in the season, it’s not a great feeling to receive fewer votes than teams like Tulane and San Diego State, no offense to those programs.
