One of the most interesting stories in Michigan State sports this offseason might be coming to a close soon as Rocket Watts has picked up a Crystal Ball prediction from 247Sports. The site’s experts have projected Watts to now transfer to Mississippi State, which would be an MSU to MSU transfer for Watts.
While many fans still held out hope that Rocket would withdraw his name from the transfer portal and return to the Spartans, I think this is a good outcome for everyone. Watts gets to go to a team that now actually competes for the NCAA Tournament under Ben Howland, and he also leaves the Big Ten Conference so people like me can still feel good about rooting for Watts.
