Michigan State spent the month of October getting smacked around by some of the Big Ten’s biggest powerhouses, but they still enter Saturday’s match-up versus Illinois as a considerable 11.5-point favorite.
This is particularly interesting to me because Illinois was able to beat a Wisconsin team that completely demolished MSU. Illinois is also ranked ahead of the Spartans in the latest Big Ten Power Rankings. Nevertheless, there must be enough people out there who still believe in the Spartans as a formidable team to garner this betting line.
