Michigan State offers 3-star quarterback Tee Webb

After Mark Dantonio missed out on 4-star quarterbacks Chubba Purdy (Louisville) and Michael Alaimo (Purdue), the Spartans are clearly still in the market for quarterback talent for the 2020 class. There currently is not a clear quarterback of the future on the roster. Rocky Lombardi has shown some flashes in his appearances, but he hasn’t shown enough to confidently say he will be the ideal starter someday. The 2020 recruiting train continued this week with a visit by Tee Weeb out of Cartersville, GA that resulted in an offer for Webb.

Tee Webb is a 3-star, 6-foot-4 pro-style prospect. He’s currently the 18th ranked pro-style prospect in the 2020 draft class. What is really interesting to me about this visit is that Tee Webb already committed to Louisville back in April. However, this was before Chubba Purdy committed there as well. It could be possible that with Purdy’s commitment, Webb thought he’d have a better shot to start someday in East Lansing.

We will definitely want to keep an eye on this story moving forward as Tee Webb could very well be starting for Michigan State someday.
