Michigan State offers 2021 Farmington point guard Jaden Akins

It’s never too early to start talking 2021 basketball recruiting, right? Jaden Akins, the currently unranked, 6-foot-3 combo guard from Farmington, Michigan announced a few days ago that he received an offer from Coach Tom Izzo and the coaching staff to join Michigan State in 2021.

At 6-foot-3, Akins is an intriguing prospect if his college position ends up being at point guard. Truthfully, I do not know much about Akins’ game, but he does have a total of seven offers on the table right now.

This is Michigan State’s fourth official offer for the 2021 recruiting class.

Here’s the list of offers he’s looking at, per 247sports:

  • Central Connecticut State
  • Iowa
  • Michigan State
  • Mississippi State
  • Missouri
  • Western Michigan
  • Xavier

You can check out highlights from Akins’ 2018-19 season below:

From playmaking, shot-making, and shot-creation, there is a lot to like in that highlight package, we’ll see if Izzo can land this prospect.
