As we speculated yesterday, Michigan State Football and Nike have revealed a very new, very bright, very neon alternate uniform for the 2019-20 football season before today’s Spring football game.
The jersey has already been heavily criticized by many, and well-received by some. They share a lot in common to the basketball team’s black and neon green alternates, although the neon green on forest green look is very new and different.
I will reserve judgment on these jerseys until I see them in action. I have gone on the record as saying I do not like Michigan State using neon green as a colorway. However, it is not uncommon for a new uniform, particularly one that is this bold, to receive harsh feedback out of the gate, but once you see them on the field it can be a nice change of pace. So, I will encourage Spartan fans to relax until we see them in a real game this fall.
