Michigan State listed as favorites to win 2020 Men’s Basketball Championship

Michigan State was already listed as the #1 team in the country in virtually every preseason ranking, and now they are also the odds on favorite to win the NCAA men’s basketball championship according to the Westgate Superbook. They are currently at 6-1 odds to win the title.

This isn’t exactly shocking news. The three other Final Four teams from last season (Texas Tech, Duke, and Virginia) all lost their key players from their respective tournament runs, whereas Michigan State is returning three of their top four scorers and will be adding some promising recruits to the mix as well.

Cassius Winston, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, is also the favorite to be the national player of the year this season which definitely does not hurt.

Michigan State lost Nick Ward, Kenny Goins, and Matt McQuaid at the end of the season, but with the emergence of Aaron Henry and Xavier Tillman, along with the additions of Malik Hall and Rocket Watts, not to mention the reintroduction of a healthy Joshua Langford to the starting lineup, Michigan State should have plenty of fire-power to take the championship next year.
