Well it certainly has been one of those weeks in recruiting.
After starting out the week hot and then slogging through some Ls in the middle, MSU is closing out Sunday strong, securing a commitment from three-star Angelo Grose, a 5’10 170 lb. CB out of Mansfield, Ohio.
Grose held D1 offers from Cincinnati and most of the MAC. He was originally committed to Cincinnati, but recommitted when the MSU offer came in. Michigan State was his only power 5 offer. That stuff doesn’t matter a ton, because if there’s one thing MSU does consistently well, it’s unearth underrated gems at the cornerback position.
Hopefully Grose can be the next in a long line of successes.
Grose is the ninth player in MSU’s 2020 recruiting class and the second defensive back commit.
