Michigan State lands former UF Gators DB Chester Kimbrough via transfer portal

Michigan State football has landed another highly-touted player through the transfer portal.

Chester Kimbrough — a former Florida Gators defensive back — is heading to Michigan State as the latest big-time transfer portal get for Mel Tucker and the Spartans. The news on Kimbrough coming to Michigan State came out late on Friday night.

Kimbrough is a former three-star recruit in the 2019 class from New Orleans. He had scholarship offers from numerous big-time programs out of high school, including Alabama, LSU, Texas, Georgia and Michigan.

Kimbrough appeared in 17 games in his two seasons with the Florida Gators, and has three years of eligibility, according to Chris Solari of The Detroit Free Press.

Kimbrough is only the latest player that Michigan State has landed through the transfer portal this offseason. Below is a breakdown of the players joining and leaving Michigan State this offseason through the transfer portal:
