Michigan State lands commitment of 2021 three-star QB Hampton Fay

Michigan State football has added perhaps their quarterback of the future.

Three-star quarterback Hampton Fay committed to Michigan State Saturday evening.

The 2021 signal caller out of All Saints Episcopal in Forth Worth, Texas, is rated as the 36th-best pro-style quarterback in the class of 2021 per the 247Sports composite rankings. It must be noted that Fay has only played three games at quarterback in high school. He played receiver/backup QB during his sophomore season with Texas 5A state champion Aledo before transferring to All Saints for his junior season. He was sharp during his first three games of his junior campaign, but a labrum injury ended his season early. Still, three games of tape was enough for him to garner 13 division one offers, six of which came from power five schools.

Fay has been a priority for MSU coaches since Tucker and staff took over. They offered Fay at Colorado and got him onto campus for a visit as soon as they got settled in East Lansing.

Michigan State’s 2021 class ranks 34th in the country and has yet to be updated since Fay’s commitment.
