Michigan State, Kentucky co-favorites to win 2018 NCAA title

Las Vegas is buying Michigan State as a title contender for next season.

Expectations around the nation are high for Spartans basketball, after Miles Bridges announced his return for his sophomore season Thursday evening.

MSU has 10-to-1 odds to win the 2018 NCAA men's basketball championship, tied with Kentucky for the best odds, according to the oddsmakers at Bovada.

Entering his 23rd season, Tom Izzo is looking to win his second national title.

With Bridges back, MSU will return 78 percent of its scoring and 81 percent of its rebounding from last season's 20-15 team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to top seed Kansas.

The Spartans could add additional firepower as they are in the mix for five-star guard Brian Bowen, five-star big man Brandon McCoy, and four-star guard Mark Smith for the Spartans' 2017 class.

Duke, Louisville and defending champion North Carolina each have 12-to-1 odds to win the title, followed by runner-up Gonzaga, Kansas and Villanova at 14-to-1. Arizona is 16-to-1.
