Michigan State: Joshua Langford video will make you cry

Michigan State lost their star guard in January due to a devastating ankle injury. He was quickly rising as one of the top players in the Big Ten, but he has still found a way to contribute and find meaning on and off the court.

Joshua Langford is Michigan State’s 6’5, sharpshooting Junior shooting guard. A career 40% three-point shooter, Langford was on his way to a breakout season when he was sidelined with a brutal ankle injury. Langford has chosen to look at the positives of the situation, and like a true veteran, has played the role of leader and mentor to his team.

The blow his injury dealt the team was lessened by the emergence of Aaron Henry, Gabe Brown, and Matt McQuaid. However, it is hard not to look with regret on what the Spartans, and Langford’s season might have looked like if he could have stayed healthy. With his shooting competence and basketball IQ, it isn’t inconceivable that he could have parlayed Michigan State’s current Final Four run into a look at the next level.

While his contributions on the court are missed, Joshua Langford is still making his impact on this team felt. He is at every practice, in every huddle, at every shoot-around, guiding, leading and mentoring his team. To Joshua Langford, life is more about basketball, it’s about giving yourself to others, and, well, he says it better himself, so watch the video:
