Michigan State hosts two four-star QB recruits for visits

June may be a slow month for college football fans, but the programs we root for are as busy as can be with camps and recruiting.

Michigan State has hosted a number of players over the weekend. Among the group are two highly ranked quarterbacks Michael Alaimo and the first-team all-name Chubba Purdy.

Alaimo is a four-star recruit out of New Jersey and was on an official visit. He is the 275th ranked player in the 2020 class according to 24/7 composite rankings. MSU is the favorite to land the pro-style passer, but his recruiting is still getting going.

Purdy visited East Lansing all the way from Arizona, the same state as current Spartan signal caller Brian Lewerke. Purdy is a dual-threat QB ranked #210 in the 24/7 composite rankings. Purdy’s recruitment is wide open at this point, with no recruiting experts making crystal ball predictions as to where he might end up. His visit to MSU was of the unofficial variety.

Michigan State currently has three scholarship QBs on the roster with a fourth, Peyton Thorne, signed to join the team this fall.
