Welcome to week two of the first ever Spartans Wire MSU GIF Tournament!
Week one went quite well. We had plenty of good matchups, lots of votes and some big upsets.
Rounds two and three will run this week, which will leave us with a final four. The final four will be decided at the beginning of next week.
I don’t see much purpose to prolonging this intro anymore. You know the rules: click through the story, pick the GIF you like in each matchup and drag the speedometer to that GIF to vote.

Of course the Dantonio Region was the most boring and straight-forward region, with all of the top four seeds advancing. But that still leaves us with some great matchups.
#1 Disappearing Dantonio vs. #4 Mike Sadler Pets the Cat
Mark Dantonio has done many magical things in East Lansing, winning multiple Big Ten titles at a place many didn’t think it could be done. Perhaps his most magical moment is this GIF. Disappearing Dantonio is a powerhouse and easily cruised into the second round.
It takes on a personal favorite of mine . . .

It’s a very internet thing and it was a wonderful display of Mike Sadler: Great punts, better jokes.
#2 Trouble With the Snap vs. #3 Gatorade Bath Juke
Something tells me this one won’t be close, but we’ll see. Trouble with the snap absolutely cruised through round one.
I still say the video version is better, but the GIF is still great. One of the nice things about GIFs is the they just repeat in perpetuity without effort so that you can just watch them and watch them and watch them and watch them.
Trouble with the snap takes on perhaps the biggest win in Dantonio’s career.
No, the Rose Bowl wasn’t one of his biggest wins . . . dodging that Gatorade and clowning his championship players for it was. The best part of this GIF is Dantonio taunting at the end. He loves nothing more than subtly talking smack and I love it.
