Michigan State football’s CJ Hayes switching from wide receiver to defensive back

It’s possible that Michigan State football’s strongest position group is the wide receivers. This might be the impetus for one Spartan wide receiver to switch to the other side of the ball where there might be more opportunity. It was noted by Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press that CJ Hayes is apparently switching to a defensive back after spending the beginning of his time at MSU as a pass catcher.

Hayes played safety in high school so this should be a natural transition for him.
