Michigan State Football’s alternate jerseys mocked.. again..

We covered the release of Michigan State’s new alternate jerseys for the football team all the way back in April. Then, we covered the dogpile that took place as everyone on the internet decided to relentlessly mock them.

Now, the jerseys are making another round on the internet, going viral once again as people trash the new neon color scheme from Nike.

It all started with a tweet from Colton Pouncy of The Athletic. It seems that Michigan State had brought their new jerseys to the media day sessions this morning and Pouncy tweeted out a picture with an ominous “It’s here.”

For some reason, the internet went nuts, which I find hilarious considering the fact these jerseys were already revealed months ago. I have already made peace with their ugliness, and even come to appreciate the subtleties of its beauty. Really, this alternate jersey is a form of art, but more like Banksy art and less like Van Gogh art.

I guess even ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption joined the pile-on. I didn’t watch that, because, well, who even watches PTI anymore?
