Michigan State Football listed as big underdogs in multiple rivalry games this Fall

The Golden Nugget revealed their annual ‘best games of the year’ list and, while it was very cool that Michigan State had five games included in the list, Spartan fans will not be happy to hear that they are not the betting favorite in a few key rivalry games (or, maybe you are happy to hear this and will be confidently betting all your money on Sparty, live your best life Spartan Nation). If you prefer to listen to this news, by the way, you can check out Wil Hunter’s Locked on Spartans episode on this topic here.

The Las Vegas sports book did have Michigan State favored by 2.5 points on the road against Northwestern which is nice considering Northwestern spanked MSU last year in East Lansing 29-19. The Golden Nugget must be thinking the Spartans will improve this year, as do I.

Then, MSU is a 3 point underdog on the road in Wisconsin, which is fair.

In a nice show of respect, Michigan State is also listed as the favorite at home against Penn State. Of course, Penn State has a lot of turnover this year on their team.

In what will likely anger a lot of fans, Michigan State is a whopping 15.5 point underdog at Ohio State. That is a huge deficit this far out, especially with the departure of Urban Meyer and their two best quarterbacks.

Michigan State also travels to Ann Arbor this year and the sports book has them as 13.5 point underdogs to Michigan… Please direct all angry tweets at Golden Nugget sports book and not me please.
