The early signing period has come and gone, and the Michigan State football program has gained 15 new members. Albeit a small class, the Spartans recruiting class is currently ranked top 25 in the nation, showing the quality that resides in the recruiting class.
There is a lot to be excited for as a Spartan fan, as the coaching staff flexed their recruiting muscle and showed that there will be an influx in talent being brought into the program.

Overall Grade
Andrew Brewster: A
While some fans may have wanted more, and a few more 3 and 4-stars could have taken the overall ranking up, make no mistake about it, Mel Tucker just delivered one of the best recruiting classes in modern MSU history.
Robert Bondy: B+
Michigan State put together a top 25 class despite picking up only 15 commits — that’s pretty darn impressive. This would be a higher grade had they landed a few more of the big fish targets they had on their board, but overall I don’t have many complaints about the 2023 class.
Cory Linsner: A-
I agree with both of my counterparts, this class is one of the best classes ever to be signed to MSU, but there still is some left to be desired. MSU had some notable misses in this class, and only signing 15 guys is slightly concerning, but you can’t deny the amount of talent that is in the smaller class.
