Michigan State football CB Ronald Williams returning for another season

While many players are making the decisions to transfer, declare for the NFL Draft or return to school, especially with extra eligibility being handed out due to COVID-19, the Spartans have been on the right side of a lot of announcements. First Jayden Reed, then Xavier Henderson and now Ronald Williams has announced they will be returning to East Lansing for their last year of eligibility.

Williams’s return won’t get the attention that Reed and Henderson’s did, but it shouldn’t go unnoticed and can potentially be the most underrated return the Spartans will have.

Williams was a solid cornerback for the Spartans for the vast majority of the season until suffering an injury. After his injury, his presence not being on the field was definitely noticed. With another offseason to work with Harlan Barnett, Williams is poised to have a big 2022 season.
