Michigan State commit Rocket Watts impresses in the Mitten Classic

Future Michigan State guard Rocket Watts was back from Ohio last weekend for the annual Mitten Classic and he gave spectators a preview of why MSU is so thrilled at the chance to bring him into the program.

Rocket Watts, who declared his intention to sign with Michigan State back in September, was back for the Mitten Classic last weekend after spending the winter in Ohio playing with LaMelo Ball at the SPIRE academy. He put on a highlight show for fans in attendance, and thankfully there are a couple of fun clips for Spartan superfans to check out.

Watts will be one of the most athletic and exciting players Tom Izzo has coached, and expect him to put up insane dunks, a la Miles Bridges.

However, Watts is more than just a dunker. Here, we see him show some range on a nice buzzer beater:

Already an offensive monster, I expect to see Watts even spending time with the starters next season. For any Spartans fans nervous he might not end up in East Lansing, Watts did confirm during the weekend that he still intends to sign with MSU. Watts finished with 14 points on the day in a 126-112 win.
