Three months ago, Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Men’s Basketball program extended an offer to 2022 4-star shooting guard Jaden Schutt. Since then, Izzo has kept in ‘contant contact’ with the young Illinois high school star. On Sunday, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reported that Izzo had another virtual meeting with Weingarten.
Weingarten also reported that Schutt had also met last week with Illinois.
Schutt is the No. 2 ranked player in the state of Illinois for 2022 according to the 247Sports composite rankings so Illinois will presumably have the upper hand in his recruitment. Iowa, Nebraska and Ohio State are also heavily recruiting the talented wing out of Yorkville High School.
