Michigan State basketball to play in Battle 4 Atlantis next season

Michigan State is heading back to the Bahamas next season to once again compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

The Spartans announced on Tuesday that they’ll play in next season’s Battle 4 Atlantis event in late November.

The early-season tournament will be held from Nov. 24-26 and will include the following teams:

  • Michigan State
  • Arizona State
  • Auburn
  • Baylor
  • Connecticut
  • Loyola-Chicago
  • Syracuse
  • Virginia Commonwealth

Six of the eight teams competing in this event qualified for the NCAA Tournament this season, and three of those teams are still playing this week in the Sweet 16.

This will be the second time Michigan State has played in this tournament, with the Spartans finishing in third place with a 2-1 record in 2016.
