The Family is an AAU team in Detroit that has deep ties to the Michigan State program. The former home of Cassius Winston, MSU commit Jalen Terry currently plays for the program, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Winston. Of course, MSU recruiting target Isaiah Jackson also plays there, where he is being heavily recruited by Terry to join the Spartans. However, there is another top prospect that plays for the team in Benton Harbor’s Carlos ‘Scooby’ Johnson. Recently, ‘Scooby’ said that he is still interested in Michigan State.
Scooby Johnson is a 3-star prospect and currently ranked as the #2 prospect in the state of Michigan for 2020 (of course, with Isaiah Jackson back in Michigan he will be bumped down to 3 behind him and Jalen Terry). Aside from Michigan and Michigan State, Scooby also has interest from West Virginia, Missouri, Butler, VCU, Oakland, Duquesne, Kent State, Cleveland State and Western Michigan.
