They only played one game in the last week thanks to a COVID breakout within the Michigan basketball program, but their one win over Nebraska was enough to move Michigan State up one spot to No. 9 in the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

The Spartans’ rise was aided by the fall of Kansas, who lost to Texas Tech on Saturday.

MSU now sits just behind Duke, who is at No. 8.
